A Precise Home Inspection was founded in 2007, just before Lance Hayward separated from the Air Force. Lance knew that he wanted to help people, and after purchasing multiple homes throughout his military career he knew exactly how he wanted to do that. He wanted to provide a level of service that was unseen in the home inspection industry. By providing his 20+ years of Engineer experience and his deep commitment to customer satisfaction, A Precise Home Inspection was quickly the #1 home inspection company in the Colorado Springs area. Over the years, the team has grown and the level of service has raised the bar for home inspection companies. To this day, they are one of the only home inspection companies around that build the report during the inspection, and deliver it before they leave the home. It is A Precise Home Inspection’s mission to help Colorado home buyers find safe and comfortable homes for their families.
Tom George
Owner/Certified Professional Inspector
Tom began his career in Indianapolis, working as a siding and roofing contractor. While training to be an Electrician, he accepted a position at a plumbing company where he worked for four years until joining the Army in 2012. As an Infantryman, Tom served two years in Afghanistan as a part of Operation Enduring Freedom and separated from Fort Carson. He is an InterNACHI Certified Professional Inspector. He now lives in Colorado Springs with his two children.
Lance Hayward
Founder/Certified Master Inspector
Originally from Pittsburgh, Lance joined the United States Air Force in 1988. After 20 years as a Civil Engineer, Lance retired from the Air Force Academy in 2008, but not before he founded A Precise Home Inspection. He has completed over 8000 home inspections and is an InterNACHI Master Inspector. He lives in Briargate with his wife Sandra and their daughter Zoe.
Shawn Eaton
Certified Professional Inspector/Sewer Specialist
As a Colorado native, Shawn joined the Navy in 2009 where he spent 4 years as an Aircraft Mechanic. After separating in 2013, Shawn worked as a Plumbing Inspector, where he became an expert in performing sewer scopes and inspecting residential sewer lines. He then joined the A Precise team and became an InterNACHI Certified Professional Inspector. He now lives in Littleton with his wife Jill.
Jacob Dehart
Certified Professional Inspector
Jacob joined the Army after high school and left his hometown in Arkansas. He served as an Infantryman for 10 years with deployments to Afghanistan, Africa, and Iraq. After separating from the Army in 2019, he joined the A Precise Home Inspection team and began his career as a Home Inspector. He now lives in Colorado Springs with his girlfriend Kinsey and their dog Rosie.
Dustin Fox
Certified Professional Inspector
Dustin grew up in a small suburb of Indianapolis. After working in the HVAC industry and as a commercial window installer, he began a career as a firefighter. He originally worked on a structure fire department in Indianapolis. After a few years, he began fighting forest fires in the Pacific North West. He now lives in Castle Rock with his wife Maria and their son.
